Feb 24, 2020 Northwoods Land Trust @ MWP
Minocqua Winter Park Ski or Snowshoe Event beginning at 1 pm.
Meet at the Chalet at 1 pm (NWLT will give an overview of what we do & how we do it. MWP representative Dave Kozeluh will give a history and overview of MWP and the land protection agreement (conservation easement) signed in 2011.)
Around 1:30pm, depart in a ski group led by Kozeluh (MWP rep), or snowshoe group led by Walters (NWLT staff). Both groups will head out to see the tea house. The ski group distance can be adjusted to suit the group’s needs. The snowshoe distance is 0.75 miles out to the tea house and based on conditions we can go back the same way we came on (1.5 miles round trip) or take the loop around for nearly 3 miles (Yaktrax and poles encouraged). Of course, the best laid plans are subject to what the weather has in store. We anticipate being back at the Chalet around 3pm. Anybody is more than welcome to hang around and ski/snowshoe longer on their own.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Troy Walters, Northwoods Land Trust Outreach and Monitoring Coordinator @ 715.891.1291.
