If you enjoy working at your own pace and being self directed this is your jam! Volunteer can sign up to perform maintenance work for an available ski or snowshoe trail and "adopt" it for the summer. The work usually involves brushing the vegetation back from the trail's edge, trimming overhanging limbs, and picking up debris or trash.
Volunteers also communicate with Winter Park Trails Staff to report any major problems needing attention including: washouts/erosion, large trees across trail, bridge repair etc.
This is a perfect way to create a sense of pride and ownership for a small portion of the park and help maintain the world-class quality of our trail system which remains one of the best in the country.
