The Chip Wulff Memorial Ice Skating Pond has been a mainstay of the park for many year and continues to bring joy to people of all ages. Generous monetary and equipment donations allow us to provide free skating for all. We rely on a dedicated group of volunteers to help us maintain the pond throughout the winter months and with pre-season prep work in the fall.
Fall maintenance includes installing winter decorations, trimming brush and cattails from the edges, and removing fallen summer debris from the water.
Winter maintenance includes, sharpening skates, pond flooding and resurfacing, snow removal. Most winter maintenance occurs in the evening or early in the morning prior to the park opening.
