/ Activities / Mountain Biking
Currently mountain bikes can be ridden on most of the maintained ski trails in the summer. These trails are mowed frequently and offer beginner to expert level terrain.
In 2021, we worked with local trail builders and IMBA to develop a short single-track mountain biking trail system which brings bikers to the top of Squirrel Hill. Currently there is one uphill route and 2 downhill routes.
Paying homage to the historic fire tower which riders will pass under, the uphill route is now called Smoke Chaser and two downhill routes have been named Fire Line and Bucket Drop.
To access the trails, park at the lot outside the main gate near the information kiosk. The trailhead is located on the left towards the yellow gate.
Fees: Currently we do not require summer trail passes. We encourage donations of any amount which helps cover summer maintenance costs. Click here to donate
E-Bikes/Onewheels: Onewheels and E-bikes (class 1, 2 and 3) are allowed on our trail system as long as they are non-throttle and do not exceed 15 mph.
